Current Music: She Will Be Loved (Acoustic Version) - Maroon5
I have pondered on this question, ‘what is it that inspires me?’. People. To be more precise: motivated, talented, and creative people. I’m pretty sure ya’ll know at least one person who, regardless of what he or she does has contagious positive, creative energy that inspires you.
Benjamin Jean Jean works inspires me. He’s a French artist who’s into just about everything, from photography, drawing, design, surfing (both shaping & riding). He has definitely inspired me to pick up a paint brush, start working with my hands more, and live my life the way I want to live it.
Excerpt from his biography:
“Deeply rooted in the surf and skateboard culture, Benjamin JJ follows life at his own pace on the French Atlantic coast: he drives a 1965 404 Peugeot; lives in an old house he renovated himself, packed with vintage furniture and art pieces; surfs on an old school longboard and takes pictures with a medium format analog camera. Time seems timeless for him. ”

Current Music: Happy - Ned’s Atomic Dustbin
Last year, Intel created a series of short documentaries about the lives of bloggers. Bloggers who live particularly visual lives. The first film features the life of street style blogger Scott Schumann, also know as the Sartorialist. I really think that his works will still look very interesting a hundred years from now as attitudes and tastes change.
Here’s my favorite line:
“My lack of knowledge in the beginning really helped and really just made me refine what little I knew to make it work. I think if you ask any other person who does creative thing, they probably go to school learn all these different things and as they get better it just narrows and narrows. You could ask most chefs, they would need 5 ingredients 1 pan and a stick of butter and they can make the best meal you could ever have. That’s really where most photographers would like to get to is not to have all that other stuff but be able to create the most beautiful image they can in the most simple way they can…”

Current Music: Reminder - Mumford & Sons
Check out this awesome documentary directed by Dane Luttik reveals the projection mapping works of VJs from AntiVJ team and Jean-Michel Verbeeck. Also awesome music by Nosaj Thing. Obviously Luttik has a profound understanding of the required technology, and creative sensibility to bring that tech to life.
Watch this video and prepare your mind to be blown. Just AMAZING.
